X3

I saw X-men III last night. Although I really should have been studying, and now I'm horribly unprepared for a final I have on Thursday on Developmental biology (yuk!), it was definitely worth it.
It was one of the best made movies I've seen this year, and although the story didn't exactly go the way I had hoped (The killed Scott AND Jean.. my FAVOURITE X-men), it was still awesome.
Its weird.. I've done so much molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics to know that the stuff they put on screen is completely impossible.. but at the end of the movie, I still left with an enchanted feeling of "what if?" and a feeling in the pit of my stomach that can only be classified as disappointment that I dont have any cool mutant powers.. Then of course the mind wanders into what kind of superpower I would posess.. Its times like these when I wish I didn't know anything about the workings of the human body, and to be able to think that something like this COULD actually be possible..
Anyhow... to all my faithful readers.. if you haven't seen it, do so. its comes with my stamp of utmost approval.

random thought.. if theres only one of them, would you call him/her an "X-man" ??

The X-men trilogy literally saved Hugh Jackman's career, but Wolverine seems to be the only role he's fit to play. I haven't seen X-3 yet, but the previous two were awesome.

If there was only one of 'em, and it was a woman, why would she be called X-man?

Whoever has not seen it should not wonder why everyone is staying in the theatre for the credits, there's a snippet at the complete end.(Hey, I'm not spoiling it, I'm just giving you all a heads up!)
*THE FOLLOWING MAY OFFEND THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN IT*
Unlike you, I was pretty disappointed. Nothing changes, status quo, born-again X-men and the sad 'Harry Potter'esque school of young'uns begs a Part 4. Even me, a girl, wishes Halle Berry had offered a little more eye candy just to give the movie a bit more oomph. Kelsey Grammer (Papa Smurf) was too funny. Notice that Magneto and Captain Picard (yaya, whatever) visited the houses of two other bright X-meners. Hmm, I wonder... And did that magic boy ever serve his true purpose? Why didn't he just do an ET job on Jean instead of Wolfman Jack having to do the deed? I mean, come on. Once again, laying the foundations for the next movie is all they did.

[I just noticed that this is quite the critique from me, girly girl that I am. I have my tomboy moments, I guess]

I went. I saw. and a whole bunch of cheesy one-liners I heard. and what was that: "curing" magneto, but killing famke? and why the gothic dress? at least the fire wanker got his ass kicked.

and angel? cool abs for last season six feet under's "russell".

fun movie, but a bit disappointing.
